This year I'm starting a brand new project and I'm super excited! It's a YA Urban Fantasy/ Romance set in New York. To prepare for this grand undertaking I've been reading a lot of YA across all genres--some I liked and some I hated. But no matter my preference, I couldn't help but admire the covers. I'll go so far and say that some of them are even better than movie posters! Yes, they're that great! So, to celebrate my new-found love of YA covers, I've compiled a visual feast of some of my favorites. Enjoy.
Man-oh-man, weren't they great?
What are your favorite YA/MG/Adult covers?

Can I cheat and say my own? I can't wait until my YA cover is revealed. It's gorgeous. I really like The Pledge, too. That's one is great.
I liked the symbols on the covers of the Hunger Games Trilogy(although I didn't like those books) and the same on Divergent (I did like this book inside and out.) I found them drawing my attention at first and once they had more meaning, they became more powerful.
That said; I live 'off the map' so, I buy and read almost exclusively on a kindle. It's nice and convenient but discounts the beautiful cover art.
Great selection! I also love the covers to The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, Anna Dressed in Blood, Every Other Day, The Replacement, White Cat, and ooooh I could go on. :) YA certainly has the covers down well. :)
These are great covers. DARKSYDE creeps me out - in an awesome way!
That was supposed to be DARKCHYLDE. I wanted to read this one, but there's a bazillion different darkchylde books (comics??) I had no idea.
Oooo These are great. I especially like Liar and Anya's Ghost. I'd never seen those before.
So to be totally un-original, I have to say I love all the Harry Potter covers. Probably because the story warms my heart so much, anything even remotely affiliated with it takes first place.
I do like your selection, though.
I love the cover of Paranormalcy! And Fallen. Oh, Possession is simple but pretty. There are so many awesome covers for YA books.
I agree with all your selections! Truly REMARKABLE!
You are absolutely right, those are some gorgeous covers.
As for my all time favorite YA cover, probably either Across the Universe, by Beth Revis (although I think you might have put up the ARC cover, because mine looks slightly different), or The Marbury Lens, by Andrew Smith.
Covers can make you pick up the book just to see what sparked such an image, right?
DarkChylde is cool. Is it as disturbing as it looks?
I love all of those. A few of the books you chose are some of my favorite books from this year. For instance, Chime. I love that book. (Also, Drink, Slay, Love is pretty funny.)
I love the covers for Incarnate, Vicious Little Darlings, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, A Long, Long Sleep, Imaginary Girls, and Hourglass a lot.
Check out YA author Michael Norththrope's books. You'll like them. "Gentlemen," and "Trapped." And he has a new one coming out in March.
I love the cover to Wake by Amanda Hocking
