Friday Wonder Ponder #6

Yeah, baby, shake it!

And this is exactly how I'm feeling right now, because not only is it Friday (Good Friday, to be exact) but I was just presented with the Stylish Blogger Award by the incomparable Kelly Hashway!

I am honored by this accolade and humbled that Kelly chose me - 'lil ol' me?

So, with this honor comes the responsibility of sharing seven things about myself, but above all else, I get to present it to seven others.

How awesome is that?!

Now, what about me is interesting...?

1. When I was a wee lad I had dreams of being a scientist. So powerful an impulse it was, that for the years that followed I aced every exam in hopes of attaining that dream. Until...well...until I discovered they have no life.

2. Although I like video games, like a lot, I play them for only forty minutes a day. That sucks, 'cause I have no bloody time!

3. I dated a forty year old woman when I was nineteen. HA! I know many of you raised your eyebrows at that one. Hehe. Truth is: age doesn't matter to me, so, yes, I'm a Cougar's Cub. I'm not at the moment, 'cause my current girlfriend has me on a leash, but older men do it all the time, so why can't the ladies get some love? (LOL)

4. I have two sisters. Two amazing, annoying, smart, silly, drown them in the toilet sisters. And I'm their big bro. I can't tell you enough how protective I am of them.

5. I rather live in a hut by the beach than have riches untold. If that doesn't speak volumes of my character, then I don't know what will.

6. I can eat over three thousand calories a day and burn half of it sitting down. No joke! My doctor told me I have an amazing metabolism! Eat your heart out.

7. Last but not least, I am Latin. And bet your monthly income it drives the ladies wild.

This is the part I am happy to do, because I get to share this award with these other FANTABULOUS bloggers.

For their wit, humor, informative posts and oh so stylish blogs, I present the Stylish Blogger Award to:

And to CBame13, not because I think his blog is stylish, it's kinda drab (sorry buddy), but simply for the fact that he's a super awesome dude, who would love this!

There were so many people who I wanted to give this to, but they had won it already. I'll continue to search through my list and find other fantastic people to bestow this award. Until that time, have an awesome weekend everyone.

"Cougar Cub"...I applaud you from my office.

AHAHA!

Is that a problem, Brad? It's not like she was a hideous creature with flab, wrinkles and all that! She was a business woman (and quite the typical cougar, mind you), who I happened to like. We never went all the way, because, and don't laugh, she moved to Denmark - with her children.

Thanks for stopping by Brad! :D

Thank you, Tyson!!

I have a colleague who's a scientist-turned-writer and she's a crazy partier. So some scientists have lives. ;) I have the same metabolism. (Thank you, Dad.) It's a good thing, because I'm not sure I could live without pizza.

Yeah...you're awesome. That's why I keep comin' back.

Enjoy your weekend :)

Tracy - No need for thanks, I couldn't think of anyone better!

I love food, and hailing from a Spanish/Italian family, I eat lots of fatty stuff like Lasagna, Chicken, Beef, Potatoes (plenty of it), all the pastas in the word and too much dessert to handle.

Yet, I'm as fit as a fiddle. :D

Michael - No, you're awesome! Your posts are the greatest things ever! I don't comment on all of them, 'cause I really have nothing to write, but I do read your blog EVERY FRICKIN DAY!

Thank you, Tyson!! You made my day! :D

#5 --- I'm totally there. Though I'd prefer it if the little hut at least had power. I'm not the kind of girl who likes to brush her teeth in the dark.

Jennifer, enriching people's lives is what I do! The happier you are, the better I feel.

I love the rustic life. Back at my mom's house I used to climb coconut trees, go fishing in the sea, cook crab and crayfish on a fireplace and make tree houses for my friends. I love the simplicity of it all, because I live a very tech-savvy/tech-independent lifestyle. To go back to my roots once in a while is something I need. So, to answer your question: no, there will be no electricity. Consider it a camping trip. It's not like it'll be for months - heck no! Your buddy Tyson needs his regular dose of Ultimate Fighter. :D

Thanks, Tyson!

#3 is hilarious. Love it! I share your #6 problem. Now for me to come up with a few things of my own. Hmm...

Congrats!

Interesting facts about yourself. The "Cougar Cub" lmao. Great line!

And the fast metabolism is both a blessing and a curse. I know from experience.

And thanks for stopping by my blog.

Have a Good Friday!

M.B. - Hiya!

Hahaha, thanks for the compliments! I chose you because you're just plain awesome!

And super pretty. :D

Matthew - I'm so glad you dropped by!

What about the fast metabolism is both a blessing and a curse? I'm curious.

I'll be at your blog often, so be sure to save me a seat!

All the best!

Tyson

Ultimate Fighter --- it's been a while since I've watched that show!

I guess I'd be all right with the no-electricity situation if I knew it was only temporary. I'm guessing it'd be cleansing, in a sense.

No problem.

Let's just say that it's hard to put on extra weight when you're trying to sculpt that perfect beach bod. I generally weigh between 155 and 160 lbs (all lean muscle and I'm 5'9), and that's after solid nutrition and working out 4 times per wk. But I'd love to put on an extra 10-15 lbs. To accomplish that, working out and eating would have to become my day job. So I just work my butt off to maintain my solid physique because of my fast metabolism.

And I look forward to having you back @ my blog!

Haha I'm working on the layout right now to make it a bit less boring :P

T.D. McFrost said...

Jennifer - Oh you have no idea how nice it would be to live such a rustic lifestyle. This euphoria is enhanced by the lingering fact that it is only for a while; like Paris Hilton being smart for a day, knowing it will be for a moment. :D

Mathew - From your pic I'd never guess you weigh so little. You look like a typical guido.

I understand the dilemma, but you have to realize what we have is what so many people DESIRE. To eat almost anything and lose weight?... That's the American Dream!

CBame13 - I want to know your real name. I hate referring to you as a used automobile. :D

I love how your blog looks! So much better than before. Of course, I would post this on there, but I can't. Commenting on your blog isn't working at the moment, so please fix it. :D

You crack me up! This is why I love your blog.
I have a fast metabolism, too. In fact it got faster after I had my daughter. I'm thinner now than I was in high school. And when I was younger, my doctor put me on a diet to gain weight because I was too thin.

Why thanks Tyson! I will post, respond accordingly today. Never won me a blogger award thingy. Fun stuff!!

19 & 40? Wow. What's the opposite of a cradle robber? lol.

Thanks so much for the award! I'll cherish it forever. :)

Joanne Brothwell said...

Great blog! I'm happy to hear you're not ageist - very important not to discriminate, hehe!

Red-hot metabolism? Lucky. So damm lucky.

Anonymous said...

Congrats on the award.

I loved your list. Interesting stuff. Plus I'm jealous of your metabolism.

T.D. McFrost said...

Kelly -Thanks. I'm not that thin for a guy who's six feet, but I eat a lot and it seems it all goes to my ass. This is just speculation, as I'm pretty sure I could give Beyonce a run for her booty!

Deb - It is fun stuff, and stay tuned 'cause there's more to come!

Karen - Thanks so much for stopping by. And it was an honor to bestow you with this award. :D

Joanne - Hi! It's always nice to meet new people. I just love your blog and the poster you have of Vampire Diaries is WICKED SICK!

I'll date any lady as long as she's attractive and gots a booty. I love big butts. :D

Medeia - I am so grateful that you visit me almost everyday. Thank you so much! If there's anything I can do for you, just say the word. :D

Cougar Cub! That's freakin' awesome!!

I have the same metabolism, and love it. I have no idea where I got my love of eating because most of my family is German--bland and booooring. One of the things I love most about Chicago is the ability to get amazing food at a zillion restaurants all over. I'd die if I had to restrict what I eat.

Your blog is truly Stylish, and the award is well-deserved. :)

T.D. McFrost said...

Jo - Thanks for stopping by. And, no, I don't have anything published yet.

Why did you ask?

Tabitha - I love any and all foods (except vegetables) and I can't imagine giving that up.

We should open a club for people with fast metabolisms. We'll call it the "I can eat anything, lose weight and you can't' club. :D

Jo Schaffer Layton said...

I asked because I run a writing conference for teens and I'm always keeping an eye out for who is out there. (=
I answered your other question over on my blog. (=

Michael Di Gesu said...

Congrats on your award. T.D.

Yeah I know how the older ladies are too... I dated a thirty-eight your old red headed stunner when I was 19!

MAN, I wish I had you metabolism though. Enjoy it while you can... It's all down hill after 30.... You'll see.

Italian and Spanish.... Well, that's some food combo! AWESOME food!

I'm mostly Italian with a splash of Norwegian... So always awesome food, too.

Keep up the good work, kid.

Michael
